So, it's taken us, Cairelle and Laura, a hot minut

So, it's taken us, Cairelle and Laura, a hot minute to sit with and attempt to process the reversal of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court. How does one come to grips with the fact that they do not have bodily sovereignty? We have considered the various ways to support the cause of choice and access to care; there are so many! We decided the best way for us is to contribute to the non-profits who are doing the "boots on the ground" work of helping those in need to access abortion. Our personal choice is The Brigid Alliance. You can check them out online at www.brigidalliance.org. They've got a solid rating with Charity Navigator.

We hope you will join us in working, in your own way, to ensure that choice, and unfettered access to healthcare, is available to all. Our thoughts are with the women, trans men, and non-binary people who are directly affected by this ruling. Keep faith, as we WILL make our way through this, guided by the light of Brigid's flame. 🔥

One of Sanctuary of Brigid's projects is our "Elements of Philanthropy" initiative which encourages good works in Brigid's name. In regard to the Russia-Ukraine War, we know so many of you want to help. We do too! We suggest Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (@DoctorsWithoutBorders) as a way to offer support to the Ukrainian people. Founded in 1971, this Nobel Peace Prize-winning non-profit has treated tens of millions of people since its creation. They save lives by providing medical care in nearly 70 countries, and they're on the ground in Ukraine right now to continue their mission.
