Brigid's Light Contributor Spotlight 🔥

We are happy to share that Lucía Moreno-Velo is a contributor to Brigid's Light! Lucía is a Pagan theology student at Cherry Hill Seminary. She is interested in exploring how the recovery of ancient religions can contribute to social and climate justice for today and tomorrow. Her first sincere prayer in a moment of danger was to Brigid, a goddess she knew only by name at the time. She later discovered that her mother’s family came from a village in northwestern Spain named after Brigid. With Gwyneth Box, she co-runs the Modern Pagan Prayers project, an effort to create a contemporary body of texts for use in personal devotion and public ritual. She lives with her wife, two teens, and two cats in the mountains near Madrid, Spain. You can find her online at

Life is sometimes difficult and presents us with challenges that can be quite confusing and hurtful. Like the swan that serves as a symbol of Her light, Brigid reminds us to lovingly let go of all that no longer serves. The glow of Her flame offers healing and wisdom. It allows us to see the situation in a new light, and to learn from it. When we take the time to reflect and grow, we can then move forward with a peace-filled heart on a life path that is infused with truth, integrity, and authenticity.

We are super excited to share that Marion Brigantia van Eupen is a contributor to Brigid's Light! Marion is a Priestess of Brighde-Brigantia and of Avalon. Marion reclaims, celebrates, and serves the goddess as a priestess every day of her life. She holds many strands of priestess work, with a big emphasis on the Brighde-Brigantia teachings, of which she is the founder and tutor. This priest/ess training is taught internationally, online and in-person, by tutors trained by Marion. She is also the co-organizer of the annual Goddess Conference in Glastonbury. We are excited to share that Rev. Angie Buchanan is a contributor to Brigid's Light! Angie is an animist family- tradition Pagan. She is the co-founder and the spiritual director of Earth Traditions, a Pagan church. In 2011, after a lifetime of experience in the birth and death thresholds, she became a certified Death Midwife under Nora Cedarwind Young. In 2014, she was certified to teach. She developed and currently teaches internationally a certification course that provides hands-on, intensive training for compassionate end-of-life care and information on ecologically sensitive funerals. She also holds separate psychopomp workshops that address the psycho-spiritual aspects of death and dying. Angie resides in the American Midwest.
